Sometimes a cat needs nine lives and then a few more. When a young cat with neurologic problems and megacolon came in, the team at the 9 Lives Foundation in California knew they had to give her a chance. In loving foster care Trill began medications for megacolon, but because she suffers from bladder and bowel leaks the team struggled to find the right home for her. They knew there had to be a place where Trill could truly belong just as she is and they were determined to care for Trill till they could find that place.
It took time, in fact it was several years before the 9 Lives Foundation learned of the perfect place for Trill - Copper’s Cat Commune. Meanwhile, the Commune had been housing several friendly cats with FIV, and while they were perfectly adoptable they had struggled to find homes in Texas. So with a little planning and a lot of love two cats from Texas boarded planes to California and in short order found forever homes, and two leaky cats, Trill and her friend Lady Gaga found their place at the Commune where they fit in just right. Trill’s leaky - but that's our specialty, she needs medications - but that’s common here, and with her silly high-stepping walk and little turned out ballerina front feet she fits right in at the Commune surrounded by her scooting, wobbly, silly-stepping pals.
