Sparky's Greenhouse - Marylin’s Ferals

OVERVIEW

In early 2017 a feral colony was living peacefully in a field next to a busy street, when a new property owner purchased an adjacent building. With plans for a food production plant he told the colony’s caretaker Marylin that the cats would have to leave or face hostile conditions. Distressed, Marylin reached out to Copper’s Cat Commune and offered to build an enclosure and help maintain the cats if the Commune would provide her colony safe haven. Mimi sprang into action and Marylin’s ferals were swiftly trapped, fixed, and relocated to the brand new enclosure. Today Sparky’s Greenhouse enclosure remains home to twenty ferals from the original relocated colony.
